In 2006, PRG's board and staff worked together to articulate PRG's mission and values and to create a strategic plan to guide the organization through 2009.
PRG's mission is to provide quality, affordable housing and related services that contribute to family self-sufficiency and neighborhood stability. We serve the seven-county metropolitan area through our four service programs: We develop affordable housing, market the homes we develop, own and manage an asset portfolio of affordable family rental and cooperative housing, and counsel and educate first-time homebuyers.
We value collaboration; we use partnerships to help ensure that our efforts empower diverse communities and meet participants' needs. We persevere, often taking on difficult projects to improve communities' quality of life. And we work with creativity, reliability, honesty, and respect.
During the next three years, PRG will
- expand our housing development program into new markets, some with new partners
- strengthen our financial position
- enlarge our office space
- increase homebuyer education and counseling services, especially for homebuyers of color
- enhance our reputation significantly among our key constituencies.
